Abstract
196,568. Nagy of Muzsinszki, E. April 20, 1922, [Convention date]. Folding-seats; adjustments; arm-rests.-In a folding X-frame chair the seat member 3 is pivoted at 2 to the top of the rear legs 1 and guide pins 5, at the rear of the seat, engage grooves 7 in the sides of the back 6. The back 6 is pivoted at 10 to the top of the front legs 9 and is extended downwards to carry a stop 11. The side members of the seat 3 may have hooked ends 16 to engage a cross bar 15 on the back, and arm rests 19 may be provided. In the modification shown in Fig. 10, the back and the arm-rests are made adjustable by the provision of notches 25, 23 in the legs 1, 9. The side members of the seat 3 may be grooved to accommodate a sliding foot-rest.
