Abstract
194,677. Soc. Anon. des AÚroplanes G. Voisin. March 13, 1922, [Convention date]. Channels in cylinders.-In an engine having reciprocating distribution sleeves, the variable space e comprised between the cylinder b, the cylinder head c, and the upper edges of the sleeves a, a<1> communicates with the exterior of the cylinder by means of a conduit f provided with a spring- pressed check valve h. During periods of low pressure in the space e, oil is drawn up between the sleeves and cylinder into the space e. During periods of high pressure in the space e, excess oil contained in the space is forced through the conduit f and valve h to a pipe m leading to the crank case.
