Abstract

15,596. Clench, C. E. S. June 29. Combinations of interdependent valves.-In a carburettor, an air valve G is connected through toothed sectors G<1>, E<1> to a throttle valve E in such a manner that when the throttle is closed the air valve is closed, but when the throttle is partly open the air valve is fully open. At this point the sector E<1> leaves the sector G<1> and the throttle may be opened independently, the valve G being held by a spring detent G<4>.
