Abstract

127,467. Peeters, J. Aug. 16, 1918. Spray carburettors.-The carburettor has cylindrical interconnected rotatable valves c, d, e for controlling respectively the mixture, the primary air, and the secondary air. The primary-air valve d has clamped thereto a strap d<2> to the arm d<3> of which is pivoted a lever d<4>, the other end being adjustable in a slot c<6> formed in an extension of an end plate c<2> of the throttle valve, which is actuated by an arm c<3> and rod c<4>. A similar strap c<2> clamped to the secondary-air valve carries a slotted arm c<5> along which the free end of a link e<3> pivoted to the throttle plate c<2> may be adjusted by the driver through a handwheel, a flexible shaft f<2>, bracket f<4>, and screwed rod f. The throttle is closed at both ends and has triangular ports; the secondary-air valve is closed at one end, and the primary-air valve has both ends open.
