Abstract

20,733. Saunders, A. Oct. 8. Combinations of interdependent valves; actuating; piston-like valves with screwed valve members.-In a carburettor the petrol outlet F, which consists of a groove cut in a screwed surface G, is controlled by the end of the screwed tubular part D which is rotated by a Bowden wire H through a drum I and gearing J, K. Air enters through two triangular ports at the other end L of the part D and in an adjustable tubular part M which screws into it. Adjustment of the area of the air ports is effected from the wheel J through gearing S, T, R, W, which gives a differential movement to the valve members L, M.
