Abstract
6694. Donlin, C. B. March 17. Piston valves; combinations of interdependent valves. - The sliding throttle valve a of a carburettor contains an auxiliary valve e which is connected to the Bowden wire h. Passages b, e<1> are formed in the main and auxiliary valves respectively. The main valve a is kept closed by a spring k pressing on the valve c, which in turn presses on the valve a through a spring g. The valve e is first lifted so as to bring the passages b, e' into register, further movement of the valve lifting the valve a through the stop f. Several modifications of the arrangement of spring g and valve e are described.
