8145. Molina, L. G., and Windom, E. L. April 7. Spray carburettors.-The throttle valve 26 is connected by links and levers with the primary-air valve 14 sliding on the fuel-nozzle 13, and with a spring-pressed sleeve 36 in which is an adjustable plng 35 against which the loading-spring 32 of the secondary-air valve 31 abuts, so that when the throttle is opened, the primary-air passage is enlarged and the load on the valve 31 diminished. The valve 14 is rotated to adjust it relatively to the choke-tube 15 and adjustments 29, 42 are provided in the link-work. The valve 31 can be locked in its closed position by a catch 44 at starting. The valve 4 is guided in its seating and in a plug 7 fitted with a dust-cap 10. A drain cock 11<1> for the float chamber is provided. The motion of the valve 26 is determined by a stop 46 and set-screws 48.
