Abstract

907. Birkigt, M. Jan. 12, 1912, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-A by-pass a, Fig. 1, to the throttle d is provided with a valve e which remains closed while the engine is running, but is opened at starting in the act of engaging the starting-handle h with the crank-shaft. This is effected by connecting the clutch-sleeve g<2>, Fig. 2, with the by-pass valve e. The spring f keeps the valve closed normally. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) shows the by-pass valve e (1) in the form of a spring-pressed plunger, (2) as a rotatable valve with a right-angled passage, and (3) as a screwed plug valve. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
