Abstract
5549. Humblet, L. March 4, 1913, [Convention date]. Two-stroke-cycle engines.-One of two pistons 3, 6 in the same cylinder 1 is connected directly to the crank 5 and the other indirectly through a rod 13, a bell-crank 11, a link 10, a block 8 working in a groove 7 which is partly concentric with the pin 15 when in the position shown, and a rod 9. The products exhaust through the piston-controlled ports 20, the piston 6 driving them out and drawing in a new charge through the port 18 after the ports 20 have been closed. The inlet is also controlled by a piston valve 16 in the admission pipe.
