Abstract

Centrifugal ejector pump impellers are provided with blades C, the tips of which are shaped as at T to throw out a sheet of water of high entraining power. The water passes to the impeller B by a pipe S from a tank M, and the air or gas to be pumped is picked up from channels E surrounding the impeller. The gas-outlet I and the liquidoutlet L are provided with baffles J to aid separation. A float-controlled valve Q prevents surging. The water-level in the tank M is maintained automatically and the pressure is equalized with that in the delivery main P by a pipe Z, The water in the tank may be used in an ejector condenser.
