Abstract

15,439. Reinold, F. July 4. Composition fuel.-Fuel such as coal or coke slack in a slightly moist state is mixed with dry paper flakes and briquetted. Highly bituminous (cannel) coal requires from 1 to 2 per cent and coke slack or non-bituminous coal 9 per cent of the flakes. The flakes are made by disintegrating waste paper obtained for example from street sweepings and may vary from 0À25 to 1À5 cm. in size.
