22,835. Zimmer, A. A. A., and Forwood, G. F. May 3, 1911. Composition fuel.-Briquettes in which bituminous coal is used as a binder are formed while the materials are heated externally. The binder is rendered plastic by dry distillation, one or more granular materials such as coal, coke or peat dust, pulverized ores, fines, flue dust, or other ore-smelting residue being then added, and the plastic mixture compressed through a hot tube and cut into lengths.
