Abstract

Two-stroke-cycle engines; frames.-In engines having oppositely-moving pistons and one or more charging-pumps adjacent to the working cylinders, the cylinders and pumps are wholly or partly surrounded by a reservoir which serves as a support for the cylinders. In Fig. 1, a pair of working cylinders a and a pump cylinder b are shown enclosed in a reservoir, into which the cylinder-inlet ports e and the pump-outlet ports x open directly. The pump b, which is shown double-acting, may be located between the cylinders.
