Jackets and covers.-A pneumatic tyre cover of the type described in Specification 27,608/09 comprises layers of rubber, rubbered canvas, or the like 1, Para rubber 3, oblique cords 2, Para rubber 4, oblique cords 7 crossing the cords 2, Para rubber, canvas, and a smooth or non-skid tread. The ends of the cords are turned over on the same or opposite sides of hard rubber rings 5 to form the beads, and are secured together by rubber. Rubbered canvas 9 is added to complete the beads. A layer of transverse cords may be used in addition to, or in place of, the outer layer of oblique cords.
