Jackets and covers.-A pneumatic tyre cover is made bv winding fabric strips d, which are covered with rubber strips e helically over two or more fabric layers a and bead - insertions placed on a former. The strips are cut between the beads, and the cover is completed and vulcanized in the ordinary way. The strips d, e overlap, the necessary thickness being given to the foundation by winding them with a short pitch, or by using more than one layer. The rubber of the strips e is continuous with that of the tread f of the tyre. The fabric layers a may be provided on both sides with rubber sheets b, b<1>.
