Jackets and covers.-A tyre cover foundation comprises bands each formed of two plies E of parallel threads or cords with a separating layer F of rubber, the threads &c. of the two layers crossing at an angle of less than 90‹ and making an angle of more than 45‹ with the tyre edges. The rubber layers F increase in thickness from the tread, and may be built up by successive application of solution.
