Tread bands, projections, and surfaces.-The tyre cover a is coated with rubber e to which is vulcanized a tread consisting of alternate strips b of fabric on edge, preferably rubber belting, and rubber c. The strips, which are of crescent shape, are arranged perpendicular to and diagonally across the tread, the ends of the rubber strips merging into the rubber layer e as shown.
