Metallic spring bodies and cores.-A tubular metal spring tyre consists of telescopic corrugated segments b, Figs. 1 and 2, each constructed in two parts by rolling or pressing sheet metal, and joined by electric welding or otherwise. Each part is formed with a portion of a dovetail channel b<2> so that, when 'the parts are united, a continuous dovetail channel is formed in which an india-rubber tread band is fitted. In the form shown in Fig. 5,. the sides of the channel stand out from the tyre body, and the junction of the two parts is at one side b<4>.
