12,123. Stevenson, J. May 16. Metallic-spring bodies and cores.-The tyre consists of a flexible metal tube formed of a helically coiled strip a having overlapping and interlocking edges. The ends of the tube may be joined by a rubber block c, Fig. 2, a tubular liner d, Fig. 3, which may carry an inflating- valve, an oppositely-screwed coupling f, Fig. 4, or fixed liners l, Fig. 5, having an oppositelyscrewed coupling k. The tube may be inflatable, enclosed or embedded in a cover, or fitted only with a tread band, and may be applied to an expanding rim.
