Abstract

190,236. Constantinesco, G. Sept. 14, 1921. Spray carburettors.-A carburettor of the type described in Specification 155,001 has the main fuel nozzle g placed symmetrically with reference to the axis of the butterfly throttle valve r and in a direction at right-angles to the valve when in its fully open position. The nozzle g is screwed into the lower edge of a central rod h which screws into the bottom of a sleeve c the upper end of which extends above the fuel level. The float consists of cork k attached to the free end of a hinged member l having an upwardlyprojecting tongue m which bears against the needle valve n. A sleeve e depending from the cover d contains a petrol filter f and its interior is in communication with the induction passage b through a conduit o and orifice p a disc valve q limiting the suction within the sleeve by admitting air from the float chamber, which communicates with the atmosphere through an adjustable slotted plug t.
