Abstract
189,550. Fink, M. W. Sept. 2, 1921. Regulating or controlling action.-Apparatus for creating vacuum in a chamber 27 by means of an ejector comprises a pipe 1 connected by a union 2 with a bulb 3 in a second pipe 4, which is in turn connected by a coupling nut 6, Fig. 3<a>, to a chamber 7 containing the ejector 15, 16 and communicating with the vacuum chamber by means of a pipe 22. In the delivery pipe of the ejector are arranged an agitating device 37 and a cock 20, and in the pipe 22, a side branch 28 of which communicates with a manometer 29, a number of valves 23, 25, 26, to prevent access of the working fluid of the ejector to the vacuum chamber, and a number of centrally perforated washers 25<a> are arranged. The power jet 15 of the ejector screws into the chamber 7, Fig. 3<a>, and a centrally perforated washer 12 is clamped between this jet and the nut 6. The tail member 16 of the ejector is also screwed into the chamber 7, adjustment thereof being effected by a coupling-nut 39 connecting the chamber 7 with the agitator container 19.
