Motor - cars. - Consists in transmitting power from the parallel crank shafts A, A<1> of two multi-cylider, internal - combustion or other reciprocating engines, through gear wheels B each disposed intermediately on the cranked part of the crank shaft and meshing with a gear wheel D mounted at one end of a resilient shaft C disposed between and parallel to the crank shafts and constructed and arranged so that it floats and is free from all stresses other than torsion in the manner described in Specification 125,640, [Class 4, Aeronautics]. According to the Provisional Specification, power is transmitted in this manner to the road or track wheels of motor vehicles or locomotives.
