Abstract
187,471. Williams, J. Nov. 4, 1921. Couplings, non-automatic.-In a U-shaped coupling in which the coupling pin is formed with a finger adapted to be thrust through a slot in the boss of the lower arm against the effort of a spring, the finger slides, upon the pin being rotated, on an inclined floor into a locking slot and the cap in which the spring is housed is screwed on to the lower boss. The coupling pin b has a finger b' on the end which is inserted through a slot c and turned through a right-angle, a plunger d pressing the finger b' against an inclined floor e until it reaches its locking slot f. The cap g which houses the spring is screwed into the boss a<1> and locked by a key h secured by a nut k.
