Abstract

Transmitting s y stems; receiving systems; atmospherics, eliminating. - A primary circuit 1 is coupled to a final circuit 2 by means of two intermediate circuits 3, 4 in parallel which are tuned to frequencies n+m and n - m where n is the frequency of the primary circuit. Fig. 2 shows the current curve for the circuit 2 as the frequency of the exciting current varies, the circuits 3, 4 being coupled in the same sense to the circuit 2. Fig. 3 shows the corresponding curve when the circuits 3, 4 are coupled in opposite sense to the final circuit 2. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. (3) (a) refers to the use of means for reducing the damping of the circuits 3, 4 when the system is employed for eliminating atmospherics. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
