[Class 40 (v).] An auxiliary source of alternating-current is used at a transmitter or receiver with such a frequency as to interfere with the original frequency to produce a frequency corresponding to the invariable frequency of a resonator in the receiver. If two main frequencies and two fixed resonators are used, the auxiliary frequency differs from the respective main frequencies by amounts equal to the frequencies of the resonators. The auxiliary frequency is so high that inequalities in the main frequency are negligible relatively to the resulting frequency.
