Thermionic valve circuits.- Frequency-control in transmissions, and selective tuning in reception, is effected by means of two or more piezo crystals K, K1, Fig. 1, each connected in the grid circuit in series with a variable capacity Ck or inductance. By inserting at will either one crystal alone, or both in parallel or in series, a greater range of frequency-variation becomes possible. In Fig. 2 a number of crystals K are arranged to give detective reception by means of a switch (not shown).
