243,018. Telefunken Ges. f³r Drahtlose Telegraphie. Nov. 15, 1924, [Convention date]. Heterodyne receiving systems; tuning- apparatus, construction and control. of. -The natural frequencies of two oscillatory circuits, particularlv in the case of a heterodyne receiver, are simultaneously varied in such a way that over a considerable range the difference between the two frequencies is constant. Thus the circuits I, II, Fig. 1, have different constant inductances L1, L2, and equal variable capacities, Cv ; but the circuit II has in addition a constant capacity Cs in series with Cv. If these elements be suitably chosen then if the two capacities Cv be varied simultaneously by means of a mechanical coupling the frequency difference will be approximately constant over a considerable range. Alternatively the circuits may have different constant capacities C1, C2, and equal variable inductances Lv, a fixed inductance Ls being connected in parallel in one case, as shown in Fig. 3.
