Abstract

171,748. Watson, H. B., and Billetop, T. C. Aug. 12, 1920. Drawings to Specification. Single-acting suction-valveless piston pumps.- The lower end of a steam-engine cylinder is provided with an auxiliary cylinder into which fluid drains and is forced out by a plunger on the piston. The supply is controlled by grooves or flat recesses in the plunger, and the discharge by a mechanically-operated or spring-controlled valve.
