Abstract

168,961. Nott, G. June 1, 1920. Rafts.-Life-saving rafts of the reversible kind comprising a buoyant hollcw frame of annular or other shape from which is suspended a grid by means of netting &c. are nrovided with lockers for the storage of provisions &c. by fitting watertight doors in apertures in the hollow frame. The door frames f fitted in the apertures have perforated upwardly projecting flanges f' to which the raft covering c is secured by canvas strips c<1>. The doors d are secured by screw or bayonet joints and are fitted with folding handles g secured in their folded position by pins g<2>.
