Saddle supports.-In mountings for cycle saddles wherein the saddle is carried from the pillar member of the frame by two pairs of parallel legs or supports D in such manner that the cyclist can, without dismounting, move the saddle backwards and forwards, and the saddle during the movement remains substantially horizontal, the front legs carry racks J engaging with a guide H upon the pillar frame member, the racks being retained in desired position by a spring-controlled bifurcated catch K connected by a wire W to a handlever on the handle-bar adjacent the ordinary grip. A spring N tends to draw the legs forwardly so that, on releasing the catch and relieving the saddle of weight, the saddle is carried towards the front. On the other hand, by back pressure against the saddle after the catch has been released, the saddle can be brought to a backward position. As the only support required for the apparatus is the pillar member, the device is applicable to both gentlemen's and ladies' machines. According to the Provisional Specification, the hand-lever is clipped to the cycle head.
