Abstract
346,649. Cycle supports. STROHBAND, W., 37, H÷fen Rittershausen, Barmen, Germany. Oct. 13, 1930, No. 30561. Convention date, Oct. 16, 1929. [Class 136 (i).] In a stand for motor and other cycles of the type comprising a forked support a, b fitted to the lower rear fork x of the cycle and adapted to be normally raised into the inoperative position by a spring i and to be lowered into the operative position by means of a tension element actuated from the handlebar, the tension element consists of a Bowden cable m connected at one end to the support a, b and at the other end to a hand-lever p provided with a locking-lever s, which is of bell-crank form and engages a stud r on a clip bracket q. The support a, b is pivoted to a head c of a bolt d, which is clamped to the fork x by plates g and nuts t so as to be adjustable vertically. The stand is held in the operative position by a stop h on the head c.
