Abstract
149,582. Jones, F. W., and Jones, B. E., (trading as Frankby Manufacturing Co.). Jan. 24, 1920. Saddle supports and clips for juvenile cycles. The seat-pillar b is made in one piece of square or angular section, and the eye of the band clip c, carrying the clamping-plates e, f for the saddle, is of similar section, so that, when tightened-up by means of the nut h on its screwed shank d, no turning of the saddle can take place about the pillar b. The upper clampng-plate e has a notched surface to engage the pillar b, and the lower plate f is formed with a boss g to take the pressure of the screw h. Notches j are formed between the two clamping-plates to engage two or more of the wires or springs on the saddle underframe. The square shank a of the seat pillar also enables it to be non-rotatably fixed within the frame tube of the machine by means of a setscrew.
