Abstract

Supports.-A motor-cycle support comprises a prop 4, having a flanged spike 6, and pivoted at 11 to a spindle 3, which is slidably and rotatably mounted in a bracket 1 clamped to the saddle tube &c. of the cycle frame and is provided with dogs 12, Fig. 2, adapted to lock the prop in the operative position by engagement with recesses 13 in the end of thebracket 1 under the action of a spring 7 adapted to press the spindle 3 inwards. A stop or shoulder may be provided at the pivot 11 to limit the outward tilting of the prop. The prop 4 is put out of action by pulling out the spindle 3 to disengage the dogs 12', and then rotating it to lift the prop, which is held in the inoperative position by a spring clip on the carrier &c.
