Abstract
166,613. Hackbridge Cable Co., Ltd., and Kennett, W. C. Nov. 4, 1920. Transformer.- A transformer of the shell type is supported on vertical frames B<1>, B<2> provided on opposite sides of the transformer, the laminated core plates A being clamped by horizontal bolts C secured to the frames, and thin metallic plates E interleaved with the core laminations and projecting beyond them are provided to assist in the dissipation of heat from the transformer. Screens of perforated or expanded metal may be used to cover the space enclosed by the frames, and a cover D is provided for the terminals.
