Abstract

578,464. Transformer &c. cores ; electromagnets. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and BEARD, J. R. June 2, 1944, No. 10620. [Classes 35 and 38 (ii)] In transformers and other electrical apparatus the core laminations 1 are provided with slots 2, which may be either parallel-sided or dovetailed, into which wires or strips of softer material, such as copper or aluminium, are forced and their ends bent over or riveted in order to clamp the laminations together. In Fig. 5, the wires 4 co-operating with the dovetail slots are integral with a mounting plate 6.
