Abstract

162,586. Manvers, A. Feb. 14, 1920. Aspirating-apparatus, ejector. - Relates to ejector condensers, suitable for use in the system of tanning by vacuum described in Specification 167,785, [Class 76, Leather]. Water under pressure passing along the main 4 and through a strainer or obturator 18 reaches a chamber 5 through ports 7 in which vapour from connections 2, 3 is drawn into the flow of water and is carried into combining and flared delivery pipes 6, 10 set in a mass of concrete 10<1>. Condensation of the vapour is promoted by a spray of water from a perforated chamber 8 connected to the water main. Delivery takes place to a sump 11 from which condensate is drawn off by a siphon 12, 14, 15.
