Joint - making packing.-A washer for locking nuts has a ring corrugation a surrounded by a plane portion f which may be provided with a flange h shaped to fit the nut. Upon pressure by the nut, the inner side of the corrugation is forced into engagement with the bolt. To obtain a fluid-tight joint, the washer may be made of copper, or a plain copper washer may be inserted between the nut and the locking washer.
