Feed-water, supplying and controlling. - Consists in improvements in the invention described in the parent Specication, the said improvements comprising means for reducing the movement of the float controlling the supply to and from the storage tank. The float a has its movement reduced by an adjustable spring q, and has on its spindle two piston-valves o, p. When the level in the tank e is low, the valve p is open and water flows from the storage tank through the branch c into the tank e, a diaphragm s preventing the water from falling on to the float. When the level in the tank e is high, the valve p is closed and the valve o is open, allowing water from the feed system to flow through the branches i, c into the storage tank.
