158,430. Maples, A. C. Nov. 25, 1919. Folding seats.-A folding deck chair comprises leg frames a, b pivoted together at d<4>, the frame a being extended to form a support for the front edge of the seat fabric, while the back of the fabric is supported by a frame c also pivoted at d<4>. The back and front edges of the fabric are separately adjustable by struts d, e engaging notches in the leg frames. In place of a single strip of fabric, two portions may be used both connected to a bar connecting the pivots d<4>, or two hinged sheets of rigid material may be pivoted to the end bars of the frames a, c. The parts are so arranged, as shown, that they fold into one plane when the seat is lifted by the cross-bar a<2>.
