Liquid-fuel furnaces.-In a liquid-fuel boiler furnace, a bridge wall 10 is provided with transverse pockets 14 having openings into the combustion chamber, a burner 13 being arranged in each pocket and mounted on an angular extension 19 of a fuel-pipe 17 extending under the floor of the combustion chamber. By rotating the corresponding pipe 17 until the extension 19 is in the horizontal position the corresponding burners may be withdrawn. The pockets 14 are formed by baffles 11, 12 with side extensions 15. A hood 16 extends over the baffles. A fanshaped series of air-supply openings 20 is preferably arranged in the floor in front of each burner. The ash-pit may be divided to provide a separate air supply for each burner.
