131,108. Cammell, Laird, & Co., Carter, Sir G. J., and Varley, G. July 6, 1918. Metal-heating furnaces.-A furnace for heating iron and steel bars for rivet-making is provided with baffles 33, 34 between which is arranged the chamber 31 into which the bars to be heated are inserted through openings 32<1> in the side walls. The furnace is heated by a tar burner 6 supplied with preheated tar and air and arranged at the front of the furnace. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 131,955, [Class 75( i), Burners &c.].
