Sliding seats; seat adjustments.-In a seat of the kind in which the bottom is adjustable in a backward and forward direction, and carries pins B<1> engaging holes A<2> in the frame A', and in which the back C, hinged to the bottom B at C', rests against a support A<3>, the back is spring- controlled to keep it thrust against its support as the seat is adjusted. One more spring C<2> across the hinge is provided for this purpose, and additional springs D between the back and the support may also be employed.
