154,521. Russell, W. A., and Manchester Furnaces, Ltd. July 29, 1920. Metal-heating &c. furnaces.-A furnace for heat-treatment of metals, stove-enamelling, &c. has an arched top a and sets of burners c, d placed in recesses in the roof and alternating with one another on opposite sides. The flames strike the roof tangentially and are deflected vertically. Waste gases leave the furnace by outlets e, f in the mouth and back, and pass to the chimney k by sole flues h, vertical ducts i in the back, and ducts j in the roof. Projections b are formed on the roof surface as described in Specification 3339/14.
