10,139. Walker, J. K. April 26. Metal-heating furnaces.-A liquid-fuel furnace for the manufacture of rivets, bolts, nuts, &c. consists of a fire-brick lining B in a sheath C of iron &c. The furnace, which is rectangular, cubical, or diamond-shaped. has four or more ports or recesses D formed in the lining, and perforations H are made in them for the insertion of the articles to be heated. It is surmounted by a crown I with one or more ports K for the escape of the combustion products.
