Bricks, special shapes of.-A fire-bridge 32, 33, 34 of refractory material for boiler and like furnaces is built up of bricks 30 having triangular projections 31 as shown on the left of Fig. 4. The brick 30 may comprise only the parts above the dotted line 41, in which case plain rectangular bricks are used with the special bricks, or the latter may be, of the form shown at 42 on the right of Fig. 4. A modified form of the bridge shown in Fig. 1 is described in which plain rectangular bricks are interposed between the vertical rows of special bricks 32, 33, 34.
