Abstract
154,351. Gibbons, F. J. J. Sept. 2,1919. Double-door fastenings.-In a horizontally sliding window, as described in Specification 130,735, [Class 20 (iii), Doors &c.], in which one or both of the lateral sashes are hinged, means are provided to prevent the lateral sashes being opened when the sliding sash is closed or held in partly opened position with a catch, as described in Specification 137,423. A slotted bolt i, when shot home, is adapted to be engaged and secured by one arm of the bell-crank j<1>, j<2>. The longer arm j<1> serves through the limited open position. The shorter arms j<2> prevents the sliding sash being closed when the bolt i is not shot. The sash a slides over the inner side of the right-hand hinged sash g and has an angle strip l engaging an L- shaped lug m in the closed or limited open position to secure the hinged sash.
