1532962 Photographic processes MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG NURNBERG AG 17 Nov 1975 [19 Nov 1974] 47250/75 Heading G2X A process for producing a pattern in a spherical or part spherical surface which comprises coating the surface with a photo-resist, tracing the pattern thereon with a laser beam of controlled diameter, developing to remove the unexposed or exposed areas and etching the bared areas. Normally this produces a die from which the desired articles e.g. pivot bearings for gyroscopes, can be produced. Generally the laser beam is held stationary while the workpiece is moved in 2 directions and adjusting the diameter of the beam to trace a pattern of the desired width.
