W a t e r - circulation, apparatus for promoting; water - circulation tubes in water space. - To improve the water circulation in a marine boiler, internal or external downcomer tubes B are so arranged around the combustion chamber a that the streams issuing from the lower ends of the tubes wash the steam bubbles from the heated surfaces of the chamber. The lower end b of a tube may be turned up so as to prevent an upward circulation through the tube.
