Abstract
1518063 Hot gas engines UNITED STIRLING (SWEDEN) AB & CO KB 19 Jan 1977 02043/77 Heading F1S The invention relates to a hot gas engine in which the heater tubes 8 are enclosed in a sealed container 10 which also contains a heat transfer medium 9 to which heat is supplied through at least one wall of the container. The heater tubes are connected to rest of the engine by conduits 4, 5, which are of smaller diameter than the cylinders and regenerator housings and each of which extends from the head 2 or 3 of a respective one of the cylinders and housings and in the axial direction thereof through the wall of the container and each of the conduits extends through a flexible bellows 11 having one end secured to the end of the conduit remote from the head and the other end secured to the wall. As described each of the conduits 4, 5 is connected to a manifold element 6, 7 to which are connected two or more tubes 8, only one tube 8 being shown in Fig. 1.
