Abstract

1509720 Electrical connection device TELDIX GmbH 20 Aug 1975 [26 Sept 1974] 34642/75 Heading H2E An electrical connection device for providing a connection to the screen 18 of a cable 17 comprises a sleeve 1 and an axially movable ring 8 for clamping the screen therebetween. A heat-shrinkable moulding 13 engages in an annular groove in the sleeve and prevents rotation of the clamping ring. As shown, the sleeve is part of a socket connector and has an annular groove 16 in which the braid is held by a wire ring 19 or may be soldered. In Fig. 2, not shown, the clamping ring (20) is corrugated on its internal clamping surface, is held against rotation, and the axial movement of the sleeve is obtained by a separate nut (23).
